Under the name SAXAMID™, SAX® Polymers distributes the technical polycondensates polyamide 6 (PA 6) as well as polyamide 6.6 (PA 6.6), which belong to the group of semicrystalline thermoplastics.
Polyamides (PA) stand out for their wide-ranging characteristics profile. Along with great strength and rigidity, they also have superb impact resistance and excellent workability. These materials also demonstrate good chemical resistance to a range of substance classes resulting in further possibilities for use (e.g. in vehicle engine compartments). Due to the diverse possibilities for modifications by means of fillers and additives, these characteristics also vary across a wide spectrum allowing the material to be adjusted to the widest range of requirements.
The wide variability allows use in a wide range of industries. These include engineering, car manufacturing as well as electrical engineering and electronics. Sports and leisure products can also be made with them.
SAX® Polymers standard range of polyamides covers a wide range of types. These include both materials with and without fibre reinforcement (glass fibre, carbon fibre, mineral fibre) and with glass beads. In addition, flame-retardant systems and a wide spectrum of additives such as heat, hydrolysis and UV stabilisation are possible. Properties such as electrical conductivity or antistatic finishing can be achieved. Where our range of products does not contain the right one for you, delivery of a compound developed specifically adapted to your requirements is also possible.
