SAXABIO

SAXABIO PBS (polybutylene succinate) is a biodegradable and compostable (according to EU standard DIN EN 13432) plastic that decomposes into carbon dioxide and water. The PBS polymer is manufactured industrially (synthetically) and the raw materials are made on a fossil basis, as well as from renewable raw materials such as glucose. The material is flexible, is characterized by high impact strength, is heat-resistant up to 100°C and suitable for food contact applications.

 

 

SAXABIO is used for disposable food packaging, various consumer goods with a short shelf life, such as cutlery, office supplies, toys, etc. Furthermore, SAXABIO can be found in agriculture, gardening, as well as in the automotive and transport sectors.
